Book WDT’s visit to your community for a 1 to 2 week
period. Provide start and end dates. Venues and Performances
do not need to be established prior to this step. |

Approach organizations for which your community would like
to have WDT to perform. In addition to school principals and
Executive Directors also consider approaching teachers and
other individuals in each organization. |

Send a member(s) of your community to represent, promote,
and introduce WDT in an organization or school. The representative’s
role is to gage the administrator’s interest and response
to the project and to make known the project’s usefulness
in promoting the organization’s values or help in advancing
their learning objectives. Consultation is advised for coming
to an agreement on how to introduce and promote WDT, although
we have some suggestions. For example, in promoting a high
school venue with a world religions class, the representative(s)
might decide to talk to the teacher of the class and the principal
in the same meeting to come to a mutual understanding of WDT’s
ability to enhance the student body’s knowledge on religions-
particularly the Bahá’í Faith. In some
situations, mention of the Faith during the performance may
not be permitted at all or could be restricted to an appreciative
statement of thanks to the Bahá’í community
supporting the project. It may be |

Helpful to refer to our pamphlet and appeal to the social
issues WDT performs about when speaking with the administrator. |

After establishing a venue date, promote it by the brochures
(provided by WDT) and through any other means your community
decides is necessary. However, word of mouth has proven to
be the most effective means of advertisement, we suggest you
do all you can to pro-actively promote it. |

Consult your local youth organizations about how they can
support the local tour. They are great resources particularly
in finding venues and attracting local youth to each event. |

A contact person should be assigned to represent the host
community to ensure timely communication while WDT is in the
area. This contact would work closely with the WDT contact
person (in the cast). They will also be responsible to relay
new information to anyone in the community involved with WDT
activities during their stay in your community. Any needs
that the host has prior to the arrival of the theatre would
be channelled to the Director Jayce Broda. |

Since
the Wildfire Dance Theatre is no longer funded by any other
Institution, we now accept charitable
donations. The suggested amount is $350.00 per performance.
The venue needs to be informed that although we are a not-for-profit
organization, we ask for donations to help support our expenses
and build Wildfire’s future.
